Product Design Experience

Spira International specializes in product design for mechanical, electro-mechanical fluid power, commercial and other products having technical content.

Product Design Experience

Some of the many field of expertise in product design at Spira International include products for such critical applications as aircraft and spacecraft, nuclear power, oilfield surface and down-hole applications, automobile, truck and vehicle control systems, and many marine applications. We have experience in fluid power, bearings, sealing, structural, power transmission, and dynamic motion products. We are also adept at converting products from one material to another including substituting traditional metal parts with plastics and composites.

Materials

We've designed product lines utilizing all of the major engineering materials like ferrous and nonferrous metals, including the exotic nickel and titanium alloys used in highly corrosive environments like equipment used where hydrogen sulfide is present. In addition, we're experts in the application of thermoplastics, elastomers and composites. We've designed products using sophisticated polymeric alloys to tailor the materials to the application needs for friction, wear, internal pressure or other specific applictaion requirements.

Complete Product Lines

We'll also branch out from desinging a single product, to assist you in developing a complete product line, encompassing a wide variety of sizes, materials, or other variations to round out your products to meet any application need. Contact up for more specifics and we'll give you an evaluation and estimate of what it will take to fully develop your product line.

Full Service Product Design

Our services not only include the product design and detailed drawings, but can also encompass researching component and material suppliers, performing testing, and setting standards for purchasing and manufacturing your products. We've taken more than one product from sketches on a cocktail napkin to a fully developed in-production product line making profit for the manufacturer.
