The world's largest shiplift elevator - the Lusteveco facility in Batangas Bay, Philippines, can lift a 25,000 dwt tanker 60 feet straight up, then roll a bogie train beneath, and move the ship off the platform into the yard for repairs. This is faster, more efficient, and capable of handling multiple ships simultaneously, than traditional floating drydocks or graving docks used for larger ships. This was one of Jeff Spira's first major projects from concept through commissioning.

Structural Engineering
If you're looking for structural analysis, we're trained and experienced in the latest methods and techniques, from classical analysis to modern computerized finite element analysis. Make sure what you're designing will stay together. We have worked on such diverse products as tiny implantable medical devices to enormous ship lifting systems.

Fluids Engineering
In addition to structural engineering, we are also experts at fluid flows and hydraulic system design, analysis, component selection, and systems integration. Our hydraulic systems designs are operating all over the world in all sorts of environments, including marine, aircraft, vehicle, and other uses. We have also assisted companies in the design of pressure vessels to ensure compliance with the ASME standards.
Safety Compliance
Where needed we are called upon to assist businesses with engineering to ensure compliance with various safety codes, whether they be for hazardous materials or hazardous working environments. If you intend to add new manufactruing processes or bring new materials into your working environment, contact us for a review of the applicable safety codes to ensure you meet the requirements.
Reverse Engineering
Do you have a piece of equipment down because maintenance and repair parts are no longer available? Well, you need to have those parts reverse engineered, and get that equipment back up and running. We have experience with machine components, hydraulics, power transmission components, aircraft parts, ship and marine equipment, industrial processing machinery, and a host of other diferent types of equipment.
